How Your Jacket Is Made: From Order to Dispatch
Share
When you order a jacket from Holloway Hide, we do not pull one off a shelf. Every jacket is made new, after your order, in our own workshop. That is why it takes a little longer — and why it fits the way it does.
Here is what happens, step by step.
1. Your order, your measurements
You choose the jacket and the colour, and you send us your measurements. Your jacket is made to those measurements — at the same price as the jacket on the website. There is no extra charge for custom sizing.
2. Cutting
The leather is cut to your jacket's pattern. This is the stage our workshop film shows first — cutting to final stitch — and it is where a good fit is decided, long before anything is sewn.
3. Stitching and finishing
The jacket is stitched, lined, and finished in the workshop: seams, pockets, zips, collars and cuffs checked as the work goes on, not only at the end.
4. A final check before dispatch
Before a jacket leaves us, it is checked once more. If it is not right, it does not ship.
5. Dispatch, by FedEx
Your jacket ships by FedEx, with free worldwide shipping. Taxes and duties are prepaid by us, so the price you see is the price you pay — nothing extra is due on delivery.
How long it takes — honestly
- Making your jacket: 7–10 business days in our workshop.
- Delivery after dispatch: UK 3–5 days, Europe 5–8 days, US and Canada 7–12 days, rest of the world 10–15 days.
So from order to door, most customers should plan on the making time plus the delivery time above — not on next-day delivery. We would rather tell you that plainly now than surprise you later.
If it does not fit
You have 30 days to return or exchange. Measure at home, order with confidence, and if the fit is not right, tell us — we will sort it with you.
That is the whole process: made to order, made to your measurements, checked before it ships, and delivered with nothing extra to pay at the door.
